I'm looking for the family of Allen Simpson Browne, who moved from Michigan
to Texas in the late 20's, early 30's. Allen was the founder of the Kiwanis
organization. He had two children (to my knowledge): Allen S. Browne, who
died in or before 1987, and Alice Mercer Browne, b. 1911 and possibly still
alive in La Jolly, CA. Allen had a son, Allen, and a daughter, Barbara
Browne Black. Al, Jr., had a son, David, and a daughter, name unknown -- who
had a daughter, Jennifer, born around 1989. Al, Jr., Barbara, David, and
Jennifer's mom were living near or in San Antonio, Texas in 1989, and were
involved with horses. To quote a letter from Alice to my Marion Browne
Sharplin, dated June 22, 1987, "My brother Al's son David is a great person
and his sister Barbara Browne Black is lots of fun - she raises horses on 10
acres and teaches dressage."
The first-named Allen was my grandfather's brother, and I'm trying to locate
the rest of the family. I would appreciate any help I can get in finding his
family.
