Does anyone know anything about a Volney Edward Brown who adopted two
children from a Stephenson family in the early 1920s from Woodstock, McHenry
County, IL?

A Paul Stepenson and sister, Beth or Elizabeth were from a family of 7
children when their father left them. These two children were adopted by
Volney Edward Brown and his wife of Woodstock. I understand that they were
related before being adopted but don't know how.

An Anna Kunde was a sister to Volney Edward Brown...do any of these look
familiar?
