Help please. I'm trying to sort out this BROWN mess I have. I have Mary
BROWN b. abt. 1686 in MD (probably St. Marys
County), daughter of Derrick BROWN. I have her married to Martin FRENCH.

Along comes a passage from Mary Donnelly's book that mentions Peter
BROWN in 1795, willed to his sisters 7 children
(FRENCH)part of his estate.

Then today I found excerpts from Peter BROWNS will (1792) that he willed
to Mary BROWNS 7 children (his daughter).
Here there was no mention of the FRENCH surname.

Can anyone help me with BROWN / FRENCH relationship in MD and KY?
