I am searching for definitive proof of Martha Ellanora BROWN's parents. She
was born abt 1822 (take or add a few yrs.) and died 1880. Martha married
Elijah Hartwell PRINGLE and was my husband's g-g'mother. She was born either
in Sumter Dist., SC, or Clarendon Dist., SC. - these two areas adjoin each
other and there are many BROWNS in each district. She is buried w/her
husband in Concord Churchyard, Brewington Rd., Sumter Co., SC.

I have been told that she was a dau of Solomon BROWN, a dau of Abner Dickey
BROWN, and a dau of a third person whose name I can't recall at present - it
may have been Frederick H. BROWN.

Here's the problem: there were several Martha BROWNS born abt the same time
as she. I would be most grateful for any help with this.
