Would appreciate any possible information on the following:

Broyles, Erasmus R. ("Edd")
born: South Carolina or (Georgia?) 23 Aug 1843
married: Rural Shade, Navarro Co, Texas, 26 Dec 1876, to Miss
Artimissa Ingram
died: Rural Shade, Navarro Co, Texas, 12 Nov 1887

He was my great-grandfather and unfortunately, no one is alive now, who knew
any of his contemporaries. I have two cousins (Broyles), who recall their
aunts (Erasmus' daughters) saying that their father was "black Dutch"
(whatever that means!?)

If anyone can help me make a connection between Erasmus and any known
Broyles' lines, I'd be very grateful. Of course, I can provide you with any
information on this Texas connection, if it can be of use to you.
