More details on my Broyles. I'd like to see if there's a connection with
King Broyles. Anna Broyles Gudger was my ggrandmother, married to Thomas
Gudger, from Madison County, NC. For Black families it is usually easier to
track the later generations than the very early ones, but I am working on
it. It is sometimes a bit complicated as I'm sure you know.

Tennessee - age 67. Married to Hester (Young) Broyles (from where?)
Children: Willie, age 2* on the 1880 Greene County, Tennessee Census Anna**,
Harriett, Louellen, Ulysses, born 1893? died 1924, age 31

Anna Broyles married Thomas Gudger. Children – Maude (born 1905, in
Maryville, TN), Clifford, and one other son. Anna died in TN about 1910.
Thomas moved to Kansas with children, where he later was killed in work
accident. Maude Gudger (foster name McGoodwin) married Reuben Richard
Nichols, Leavenworth, KS. Children, Edna and Reuben, Jr. (Bud). Edna
married Joseph F. Douglas, 1950, Wash., DC. Bud married Louise Massengale,
Kansas City, MO. Children, Rhonda, Rory. Louise M. Nichols, died 1987?

39?, married James Jasper McDowell, born about 1883, in Tusculum, TN, died
7-3-1932, age 49. Children: Marybelle, born 7-11-1916, Greeneville, TN
(lives in Washington, DC), James Jasper, born 8-22-1922, Greeneville, TN,
died -age (85,not correct). Married Dorothy (surname?)

Marybelle McDowell married (4-8-1939) Thomas Washington Jeffery, born
2-20-1912, (deceased, date?) married in Douglas, GA
