Hi,
The Bruce Web is a wonderfully written (650 pages, hardbound) genealogy of
the Bruce family lines originating in Culpeper Co., VA with James Bruce
b.1768 and Lucretia (Lucy) Gaines. They had ten children, and they and
their kids emigrated west to Sumner Co.,TN, then Bedford Co., TN and
ultimately several settled in Izard Co. AR. (My family).
The book was written by Thomas Allen Bruce, MD of N.Little Rock AR, was
published privately and is no longer in print. I don't own a copy but have
borrowed one for research.
James Bruce's family is determined to be John Bruce, m. to Mary ? They have
children thought to be John Bruce, Jr.,William, Robert, James, Benjamin,
Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary and possibly others.
