I've not been able to resolve the problem with the marriages to
Reuben Parmbury (Parmley) Berry. I, too, have the census and the marriage
info as you do and none of it makes much sense. I agree that Sally is not
the daughter of James. I have her listed as a daughter of Sartin and Lydia
(Henry) Brumfield, but have no indication why. May only be speculation on my
part.
