HI out there,my birth name is EAST I would like to make contact with anyone researching THOMAS EAST b.23 February 1816in Princes Risborough Bucks d 24 March 1881 Australia, m ELIZABETH LACEY b 1817 Princes Risborough BUCKS m 12 March 1838 d February 1905 Australia. Thomas's b place is unknown . I am still interested in a distant relative FRANCIS EAST,b1841 near HIGH WYCOMBE Bucks m CAROLINE ANGUS b 2 Oct 1870 at DUNDEE. Francis learnt the trade of CHAIRMAKING and moved on to establish Chairmaking Factories in DUNDEE with his two Sons ALBERT and FRANK.. Does anyone know if any of the buildings in LINDSAY ST DUNDEE, or IRELANDS LANE DUNDEE later in NELSON ST.which for 15 or 16 years was a busy centre of CHAIRMAKING. After this FRANCIS had trouble to get skilled workers to come north so he went into machinery for his Chairmaking ,he expanded to a sight in MAYFAIR A MODERN FACTORY was built some 30,000 sq feet floor space I would ge vey greatful if anyone knows of those sigh!
