It's lovely, isn't it? You get Maher....baz christenings from time to
time, usually in families who can afford (like millers) to muck up at.
The parents were, presumably, readers, who dug further into the bible
thatn most people (and the result is often enough that they become
nonconformist, later on). What I wonder is what they were called in real
life ? 'Mahershallalhashbaz, come and get your tea!' - I don't think
so. But Maher, Marr, Lallie, Shal, Hash, Baz - the choice is endless.

Oddly, it wasn't a gypsy name, like Mathusalum, Cirmamenty,
Huntingtower..
