The obvious thing to do is look at the GRO indexes - either at
FreeBMD online (which is free), or commercial 1837online.(which is not)
There may be the option of looking at a set of the indexes on
microfiche, if you live near a major genealogical library in Australia,
or a Mormon FHC.
The point is that young people often married a long way from home,
because the girl (sometimes the man) was in domestic service in London
or elsewhere, and married where she could be sure of getting a present
from her employers (THEN went back home to the country). The GRO
indexes cover all of England and Wales, so they will pick up the
