Vermont has indexed their early vital records (to 1870). Original card
index is probably in Montpelier, a microfilm copy is available through the
LDS-FHL.
Buell events in Essex, VT, include:
Marriage of Linus Buel and Hannah Orlin, 9-Nov-1826
Birth of Rufus Thompson Buel, 10-Nov-1827, 1st child of Linas Buel
Birth of Linus Buel, 16-Dec-1804, father Samuel Buel
Death of Deacon Samuel Buel, 26-Mar-1825, age 68
(note: index indicates another Deacon Samuel was also died on
this date, one is probably incorrect)
Death of Rachel Buel, wife of Deacon Samuel Buel, 17-Jan-1834, age 72
A possible connection would be marriage of Samuel Buel and Rachel Willcox
in Killingworth, CT, 28-Sep-1780.
Hope this helps.
