POTTAS. – To Cpl. and Mrs G.J. POTTAS, a bonny Daughter, on the 29th June, 1945.

ROBINSON. – To Cpl. and Mrs J.S. ROBINSON (nee OOSTHUIZEN), A BONNY Son at Somerset East.

VAN HEUSDEN. – To Mr and Mrs C.L. VAN HEUSDEN (nee BOOYSEN) on the 2nd July, a bonny Son.

WARD. – To Tom and Mabel, a Son, on 3rd July, 1945, at Stoneham Maternity Home.

WARNER. – To Mr and Mrs E.R. WARNER of 81 Cape Road, a Daughter on 1st July.



ENGAGEMENTS.

ALBERT. – BERKOWITZ. The engagement is announced of Birdie, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr L. BERKOWITZ, of Cradock, to Alexander, second son of Mr and Mrs D. ALBERT of East London.

RADEMEYER. – STRAUCH. The engagement is announced between Agnes, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J.F. STRAUCH, Port Alfred, (formerly Alexandria), to Johan, youngest son of Mr and the late Mrs G.M. RADEMEYER, of the Mineral Baths, Winberg, O.F.S.



MARRIED.

CHOWLES. – KARG. Married 28th June, Miranda (nurse at Barberton Hospital), second daughter of Mr and Mrs C.W. CHOWLES, Uitenhage, to Freddie, only son of Mr and Mrs KARG, Barberton, Transvaal.

LEWEY. – TROW. On the 30th June, 1945, at Mqandull, Transkei, to Sydney, son of Mrs and the late Mr A.D. LEWEY, of Uitenhage.



DEATHS.

BRADSHAW. Passed peacefully away at Queenstown, on 29th June, Leo Gregory BRADSHAW. (Late of Stutterheim and Port Elizabeth). Aged 65 years.

EHLERS. Passed peacefully away on 3rd July, 1945, Peter Philipus EHLERS, aged 67 years, husband of the late Petronella EHLERS and father of Mrs PRITCHARD. Funeral notice later.

ENGELA. Passed peacefully away at 50 Kruger Street, Mount Pleasant, on 3rd July, 1945, Maria Elizabeth, in her 80th year, beloved mother of Susan, Martha, Mattheus, Johannes and Peter. The funeral will leave the above address this afternoon at 3 o’clock.

TURNER. Died at Bethulie, O.F.S. on 28th June, Fred TURNER, M.P.S.

WIID. Louise, widow of the late J.E. WIID and dearly loved mother of Sidney, Murial, Jack and Harry, passed peacefully away on the 29th June. Service in the Holy Trinity Church, Havelock Street, this (Wednesday) afternoon, at 3.45 o’clock, thence the funeral will proceed to the South End Cemetery.



IN MEMORIAM.

CARLSON. – Charlie, passed away 1st July, 1944. Remembered by his wife.

LIMBERG. – Olive, passed away 1 year to-day. Remembered by Atta, Bonny, and Christina and her pals, Poppy, Nancy and Mary.

NURSE. – Inez, passed away 14 years ago to-day. Remembered by parents, brothers and sisters.

PAULSON. – Elizabeth, who died 4th July, 1940. Inserted by her husband and children.
