I am the granddaugher of Robert Francis Alder
I was going on the assumption that the Silas in the family was his father not his mother. oh well.
? Alder married Ida Bull Baltimore, Md. Alder killed in railroad accident (worker/passenger?? - believed worked on rr)
died young left Ida with 6 sons. 3 placed Episcopalian farm for orphans (records burned early 50's Aunt requested. Ida kept 3 youngest with her.

Earl (Silas Earl/Earl Silas - called Earl) was the oldest
married Iva Ritace no children

1 son Harvey, Jr died before father

Robert Francis b. 1998 died 1/21/62 buried St. Mary's , Baltimore, Md Was ironworker, retired Captain Baltimore Fire Dept. - emphysema
Married Mazie Lane Lutz 8/5/1900 - 10/6/1985) eloped to York, PA about 1926
2 daughters Sara Jean 1927, Ida Lois 1933 Sara was my mother
1 son - Hayward Ross 1930 - adopted 2 daughers, lives in CA
Austen died WWI - gas left 2 daughers 1 is Mrs. Livingston

married Mary - no childred
Hayward - died young
believe Mrs. Livingston's (aunt vague) husband researched family in 50's or 60's lived in Michigan. I am trying to trace that end also.
