Remember "Sitting Bull" was not his real name. This was his other name that was given sometime after his birth. Read the history of the Sioux Nation and their customs. He was just like the rest of we indians. A people with many names that somehow described us.
The name "Bull" is predominately an English name, even though there are some Irish and Germans with that name or variations thereof.
