Dont feel bad I too have been told by my grandfather that we meaning the
SKINNER name, were related to Sitting BULL. Also my grandmother said on her
side we meaning BROWN, McCULLUM, JONES, are realted to Cherokee... can't win
for losing. I am sure I asked the question on how do you know this. But not
being into genealogy I'm sure it went in one ear and out the other. Shame
things like this was were not written down. It's like finding a needle in a
haystack. As if genealogy isn't hard enough trying to trace our roots when
you got to add trying to find Indian blood that connects to your own family
line..

My children are descendants of Jesse Maxwell and Priscella Kees. Who had a
child Sarah Maxwell who married Ambrose Carroll Bull whose had a son James
Conwey Bull married Isabella Hawkins and had a child Susan N. Bull .Jesse
Maxwell and Priscella Kees also had a child Narcissa S. Maxwell. My problem
is we have Susan Bull,s( My childrens gr gr grandmother ) in it the name
Narissa S is in it and we are not sure why this would had been her
grandmother,s sister. If anyone would know why please let me know. Have so
many questions on family relations and a story we have heard over the years
of how Susan Maxwell(Bull) was related to Sitting Bull but cannot figure out
relationship if any.
