Helllo JO,
My name is Regina Southard. I got interest in my ancestry about 6 weeks ago. My father is Gregory Buell. I had made the connection from us to the John Bull that came over from England. But did not have the time to get any facts to support it. I have three children and I am a full time student at Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN. My grandfather is Otto Buell. He was born in May 21, 1914. Otto's father was Garrett Buell and he was born in 23 AUG 1885 and died in 24 OCT 1958. Garrett's father is John C. Buell. He was born in 16 JAN 1863 and died in 24 DEC 1943. John is the one who changed our name from Bull to Buell. I got this information from a Bell County Historic Book. John's father is Jesse Brittain Bull. He was born in 1838. I also found out that the Bull family was part of the first sixty families to settle in Bell County County. I have found all kinds of census with Jesse and Jane (Jesse Brittain's parents) and their descendants on them. I was w!
ondering how you are connected to this family. When I read your email, everything I expected was ture. You answer the question about Bull's Gap. I knew Bull's Gap was named after John Bull but I didn't know if it was my John. If you have time, I would love to hear from you. By the way, my dad and his sister and brother still live in Bell County, Kentucky. I live in Claiborne County, TN. Have a merry christmas. I look forward from hearing from you. Thank you!
Regina
