Greg - this is very interesting. I have not come across a Gabriel Bull before. My first reference is to Sophia Bull who was baptised at Maids Moreton in 1808 - she was baseborn and her Mother was Mary Bull. Sophia is my 2 x great grandmother. I have spent hours in the archives and cannot find out any more about her - except that she may not have been born in the village, just baptised there. I wonder if Mary was a canal boat follower since the canal was dug in about 1805.

There were, however, a number of people called Bull who came from Cambridgesire at bout this time, namely Liss Bull and others.

I have been in touch with people researching their Bull ancestry from Birmingham (England) and Australia. Would you like me to put you in touch.
Their ancestors come from Padbury, near Buckingham.

I can give you details of my Bull relations from 1808 - but can find nothing before.
