There are at least 4 lines, probably originally connected, of Bunce,
Bunts, Bunch, who moved from N.Y. to Ohio around 1820. I am
collecting and sorting them, with the thought (fantasy?) that someday
we will know enough to see how they were all related.

There is the well-documented line of Conrad BUNTS m. Elizabeth
WILLIAMS moved to Ellsworth, OH (first part of Trumbull & later in
Mahoning Co.). This line includes Dr. Frank Bunts who helped found
the Cleveland Clinic, and William C. Bunts who was Prosecutor in
Mahoning Co. & later a U.S. District Attorney in Cleveland. A
branch of this family moved to Wisconsin. Thank you to Lynnette
Burge who has posted her research online.

There is the Richard m. Annis BUNCE/BUNTS/BOUNCE branch
being researched by Bill Isenhower. They moved from Cattagurus
Co., N.Y. to Aurora twnshp, Portage Co., OH to Hudson twnshp,
Summit Co., OH and then west to Union twnshp, Wells Co., OH.

There is the Richard m. Catherine, appear to be parents of the elusive
Harmon A. BUNTS/BUNCH/BUNCE, line that I am researching.
Also daughters (?) Mary O. & Alexandra H. Moved N.Y. to
Ellsworth to Ravenna, Portage Co., OH. Harmon moved to
Akron,Summit Co. bfr 1880.

There is the Wesley BUNCE b.~1842 OH to Reuben BUNCE &
Elizabeth Morey of Oneida Co., N.Y. Wesley moved to Iowa and
then to California.

If you are reseaching a N.Y. to OH line and would like to compare
notes, do please send me an email.
