The following is a message I received last night, and I wanted to share it
with my fellow Bunker researchers. Pamela has been added to the Bunker-L
list at Rootsweb, so she will see this message as well. Anyone who doesn't
think it's worthwhile to share information with others will be sobered by
Pamela's enthusiasm.

>Hello,
>
>My name is Pamela Adams. I have written two letters to the clickable
>link with the body of my message saying SUBSCRIBE and both letters have
>been returned to me "Unable to deliver".
>
>I would love to be added to your e-mail list. I have not as yet joined
>the Bunker Family Association but I do plan to. I just began to explore
>my family history one week ago and because of the wealth of Bunker
>information at various genealogy search websites on the net was able to
>find my place within the Bunker branch of my family tree VERY quickly
>and VERY easily!
>
>Through the LDS FamilySearch web site, I was able to find my own line
>back to James Bunker of Slapton, Devonshire, England, but wanted to find
>other information regarding Joseph and his son Enoch and his son James
>Wilson Langdon Bunker in order to corroborate my findings...in order to
>be SURE. I found a lady on a message board who was researching Joseph
>and wrote to her, she wrote back that she has the Bunker book (Bunker
>Genealogy Vol. III) and that all of my information is correct, it's all
>in that book, which absolutely thrilled me!
>
>It's a wonderful feeling to have found my ancestors, my roots, and to
>learn from whence I came...and to have found it all within one week is
>just amazing to me! Imagine taking your very first step into genealogy
>and finding the Bunker Genealogy book that apparently goes back as far
>as the year 1200 all within one week! Every amateur genealogist should
>be so fortunate!!!! *big smile here* (apparently straight back from my
>great-grandmother, Annie Elizabeth Bunker)

The Susan Balfour listed in the paragraph that follows is a BFA member who
was one of the first
members of the Bunker-L mailing list at Rootweb.

>On exploring the Association's link to samples of the Bunker Banner
>newsletter, I see also that in the very first sample (Nov 1998 issue) is
>mention of someone named Susan Balfour having submitted a description of
>a Bunker-Stearns-Goodell family picnic in Chehalis, Washington, and all
>THREE of those families are my grandparents and great-grandparents and
>great-great-grandparents!!!! As you can imagine, I'm absolutely
>THRILLED to have found your site!!!! (I spent quite some time yesterday
>washing tears of joy off of my face *laugh*) It said that the Banner
>reproduced a copy of a photograph of the 1929 Stearns-Goodell-Bunker
>family picnic, and my grandparents were around 30 years of age at that
>time and living in that area so they may even be in that picture! *huge
>smile*
>
>This is all so very exciting for me, and I would like to be added to
>your e-mail list but, as I said above, my attempts to join are being
>returned to me. I have no signature line so that cannot be the
>problem. Will you please add me to the e-mail list?
>
>Thank you all so very, VERY much for all you do!!!!! *huge smile here*
