Sorry if you know all about this!

For the first time a UK census (1901) will be released with an index of names.
You will be able to access the index over the internet.
The index will give Name, Occupation, Census Place and Where Born.
No folio number or relationship will be given in the index.
The index can be accessed for free from the 2 January 2002.
That's the good news!
The bad news is if you wish to view individual pages of the census,
to find out relationships and addresses you have to pay a fee.
For details of the fees, go the Public Records Office, UK. web site.
