Many people have been inquiring about Edward Bunker, the author and prior
criminal. Edward had a terrible childhood and spent many years in prison.
Amazingly, he overcame that and became a highly respected author. He also
spent a lot of time trying to stop other kids from going the way he did. If
you are interested in more about him, one site is:

Before becoming a lawyer, I was a sociologist working in the criminal
justice system. People like Edward Bunker are rare indeed. I would not
only consider him one of our better Bunker authors but one of our strongest
and most accomplished. Unfortunately, I cannot connect him with any branch
of the family. His parents were Edward Bunker, Sr. and Sarah and he was
born in California (probably Los Angeles) either Dec. 31, 1933 or Jan. 1,
1934. He died in Los Angeles July 19, 2005.
If anyone has a clue as to which family he belonged to, we would certainly
like to know.
Bette
