My G-G-Grandfather, John Sims Burnett, was born in Rockingham or Rockbridge,
Virginia in 1788. His parents were Edward and Laura Sims Burnett. However,
we have never been able to find out anything more about his parents except
that Edward died in Blount Co Tennessee before 1826. John Sims Burnett and
wife Lydia Wood Danforth were married in Blount Co TN in 1818, moved to
Missouri between 1822 and 1828. They then emigrated to Oregon on the Oregon Trail
in 1853. I would like to correspond with anyone who is following this line.
