I am searching for the parents and anscestors of a George BUTLER born @
1777 in GA. His wife's name is Elizabeth also born @ 1777 in GA. They
were married @ 1796 in GA. They moved to AK prior to 1816 and then to
TX @ 1830. Their children are as follows:
1.Mary (Polly) born 1798 in GA,
She married William Henry Ashabranner @ 1820 probably in AK
2.Joseph born @ @ 1800 in GA.
He married Juriah Langford, July 23, 1821, in Clark Co., AK.
3. Jane (Jinsy or Jincy) born June 8, 1805 in GA.
She married Jonathan Albert Bittick, @ 1826 in AK.
4.Eliza born Mar. 6, 1810 in GA.
She married Samuel Jefferson Sorrels Dec. 11, 1826 in AK.
5.Ahira born Jan. 13, 1816 in AK.
He married Catherine Woodfin @ 1838, probably in Shelby Co., TX.

George Butler may be related to a Joseph Sr. and Joseph Jr. who lived in
Chatham Co., GA in the 1750's. I have no confirmation of this.
