Hi, Cousin Dorothy!

It's great to find some more cousins. Sorry that I didn't get back to you
sooner - I've been busy with other less important things. Hosea Butler is my GGGG
grandfather and my mom and I are looking forward to sharing info with you. I
don't know where you live, but we have a Butler Family Reunion here in Lamar
County, Alabama, on the fourth Sunday of August every year. The Butlers were some
of the founding fathers around here.
As far as the second family of Hosea is concerned, here's what we have:
Hosea BUTLER Sinia
Priscilla GILMORE
b. 1787 in SC
b. abt 1840 in Georgia ???
d. at age 104 in vicinity of Meridian, MS d.
md. abt 1860 in Georgia; he and Sinia were later divorced.
Sinia married Henry Clay Bickerstaff after she and Hosea were
divorced.

Child of this marriage: (only had one child)
Mary Susan Butler
b. 13 April 1862 Marion (now Lamar) County, Alabama
d. 29 June 1927 Lamar County, Alabama.
Note: Mary died at the age 65 and was survived by 10 of her 13
children
md. Moses Edgar "Mose" Hollis 22 January 1880 in Lamar County,
Alabama

Mary & Mose had 13 children, but I only have information on 10 of them. If you
want the info that I have, I'll be glad to send it to you.

Hosea's 3rd wife was Sarah F. ________.
They were married about 1865 in Lamar County, Alabama, according to the US
Census. In the 1870 Census, Sarah was then 25 years old.

Known children:
George W. Butler
b. abt 1866 (04 age 1870) in Alabama

Polly C. Butler
b. abt 1868 (02 age 1870) in Alabama

We don't know all of the children of the first family, either. We are working on
this line, but still have a lot of gaps to fill. Any and all help will be
appreciated. If I can help you, sing out, I'll be glad to do what I can. Thanks
