Hi everyone. Here is my brick wall. Feel free to knock it down. My
g-grandpa was James or Jim C Butler, b. 1862. We know he had 2 brothers:

Thomas and Obe or Ode, and a sister named Eire. Jim was married once,
before he married my g-grandma. We don't know anything about the first
marriage but we are told that he had a daughter with his first wife. His

second marriage was to my g-grandma Eula Lavern Vaughn, b. 1870/71 and
died in 1910. I'm told that Eula's family didn't approve of Jim and they
disowned her. The only one that would speak to her was her sister
Myrtle. We know that they lived in western Ky. in 1900 because this is
where all their children were born, however there is no trace of them
there before 1900. They are not on the census, nor any other list. He
must
have been a bad person because Eula was disowned by her family for
marrying him, and his children didn't talk about him or have anything to
do with him. He died alone in St. Louis, Mo. in 1927. If anyone is
interested, I have a photo of Jim and Eula. It is in jpg format to save
file space and download time. I'm hoping that someone will recognize a
family resemblance. Thanks,
