Hello All,
The Nashville City Cemetery Association is asking for histories of any
ancestors you may have in the old cemetery. Seems as if they only have 1% of
the histories on folks buried there. This cemetery open in 1822 and was used
up until May 1878, when the city alderman closed it to prevent the spread of
cholera. Since then, only descendants of plot owners have been allowed to be
buried there. I have a ggg-uncle buried there.
