I am looking for the family and Ancestors of Amos BUTLER my ggg
grandfather
who published the Mercantile Advertiser & New York Advocate daily
in New
York city ca 1830. He married Elizabeth STOUT the daughter of
Benjamin
STOUT and Jacomyntie Jemima BREVOORT who were married in New York
24 Aug
1766.

I only know of 3 children of Amos and Elizabeth: Helen BUTLER,
John T
BUTLER, and Elizabeth Serena BUTLER. Elizabeth was born in New
York City in
1812. She married my gg grandfather Solyman BROWN in New York City
23 Dec
1834 and died 11 Mar 1883 in North Adams, Massachusetts.

I would appreciate any help with Amos. I have found a lot of
information
about New York City Butlers, but have not been able to connect him
with
them.
