Joe,
don't leave the list because someone disagrees with what you have to
say.
We are all here to find out about our Butler ancestry, and to try to
help others along the way. I for one, did not see anything wrong with
you telling Laura to be cautious of the info that is in the Butler
book. It seems to me that you were just being considerate enough to
share your knowledge with her. There is absolutely nothing wrong with
that. I don't know who slammed you for that, but maybe they were just
having a bad day. God knows that we all have them from time to time.

My Butler clan is the same as Jacks. We are not known for our tact, or
diplomacy.
My friends say that if you don't really want to know, don't ask Butler
because he will tell you like it is. We are a straight forward bunch,
and can sometimes be hard to deal with. But I'm finding that for the
most part that is a Butler trait. We are also hard headed and don't get
our feelings hurt very easily. For the most part we don't really care
what others think of us, we are who we are.

I don't see that you did anything wrong. Laura was kind enough to offer
help to the list, and you were kind enough to warn her about the
publishers of the book she has.
So where is the crime?

Don't leave the list. This will blow over in a few days, and things
will be back to normal. The people on this list are a great group of
people. Someone was just having an off day, so stick with us.
