Hello Jennifer:
I am also a descendent of James, through his second son, John. I know
his wife was named Mary, which is not much help, he is reputed to have
enigrated from Ireland at the age of four, and his father may have been
named Robert. He is ls believed to have been born in 1830. Considering
the politics of the times, it is possible that he was transported by the
Cromwell government, which may make it difficult to make the Irish
connection (very frustrating). I have a fairly large file with my line
down from James, including a lot of side branch information, and have
visited the towns in which he and John lived. I am always interested in
sharing information, and I expect you will be hearing from others.
Which of James' children are descended through?
Jack Butler
