Greetings,

I am new to the Butler list and am seeking help with:

Alexander Beaubien BUTLER, sometimes known as Andre BEAULIEU

In the 1920 Motion Picture Studio Directory and Trade
Annual, he is listed as "born Beamsville, Ontario, educ.
Hamilton. Stage in US, S. America, S. Africa, Australia,
GB..." At the time he was living in Los Angeles.

His silent film career stretches from 1913-1926; there is
then a single sound film in 1938; his credits as
BUTLER/BEAULIEU (both acting and directing) can be seen in
detail on the Internet Movie Database( www.imdb.com ).

In Ontario, the Thorold Public Library staff were very
helpful in my
search for any hint of him or any relations in Beamsville or
Clinton Twp., Lincoln County; Equally helpful the staff at
the Archives of the old Hamilton Collegiate Institute. In
both cases: Nothing.

Can anyone help or suggest further possibilities?
