Someone asked me for the following information sometime back, but I didn't
have it where I could find it. I hope that person is still on the list;
sorry it took so long.

Dorothy Butler Welsh


Stanmore Butler was supposed to have been a brother of William Butler who
married Betheland Moore. He was a captain in the Army (Rev?) and CC (?)
of Edgefield Co., SC, at the time of his death. Other brothers of that
William Butler were supposed to be Thomas and Sampson. His sisters were
Nancy Butler who married Elisha Brooks, And Elizabeth Butler who married
Zachariah Brooks.

The children of William who married Betheland Moore were:
James, George, William Jr., Frank, Pierce M., Emmala, Leontine (who died
young),and Andrew Pickens. William Sr. died Sept. 1821 in Edgefield diest.
