My great great grandfather was Pierce Butler from the townland of Brocka, in County Wicklow Ireland. I recall as a child being told that my grandfather, James John Ryan, was related to Associate Justice Pierce Butler who died in 1939. James John Ryan was the grandson of Pierce Butler. I would welcome any response with information regarding the above, especially from descendants of Associate Justice Pierce Butler.
