I have to agree with you, Jean, on the problems with mail lists (not
just rootsweb). When my ISP started using a SPAM killing service,
I had all kinds of problems with not receiving mail list messages.
When they bounced, I was simply taken off the list & had to keep
signing up again--IF I found out I had been bounced. I spoke to my
ISP tech support people about this several times and finally
switched to my current service after the problem continued for
several months. I don't know how many important messages
from individuals I might have lost because of these controls. I
could have missed just the message I needed to make a
connection. Luckily with mail lists I can read the archives, but
it sure was a time-consuming hassle to keep having to do that.
