I absolutely agree with you!!! I have been using Bygones for several years
now and wonder where I'd be without it. Well, actually I KNOW where I'd be
.........not in a good place .........my notes before were pathetic at best,
entered into notebooks with my handwriting that, shall we say, leaves a lot
to be desired. I can't even read some of my old notes! Or I tended to jot
down a thought or a research result that made sense to me then, but later
on, I was clueless about what I'd done. Then, when I needed to check on
something, I had to search page by notebook page, to find it. What a waste
of my time!

I love Bygones because it helps me to keep track of my research. Because I
use it, I now enter in my source information completely, as it should be
done.....no quick notes as before. My research notes tend to be much more
complete and detailed now as I'd much rather type than write in long hand.
And the best thing is, they are totally, easily searchable!!! No more
wondering which notebook a certain piece of data is in. In a few clicks, I
have what I'm looking for.

A personal favorite database is the maps one. I import maps of various areas
and refer to them often.

Another "best" thing, as you know .......Troy has kindly made this available
to all of us, Mac or Windows user, FREE! I mean, how much better can it
be??!!

Sorry if I sound like a commercial here, but I value Bygones so much and
wish more people would be/could be helped by it. Sigh. If they would just
take the plunge to learn it, via the helpful tutorials online, then take the
time to enter in all their data, they wouldn't be sorry!!!
