Ok, I'll try to answer this.
Currently, what I have is one file per individual. Into that file goes
everything whether it is a document or not. If it pertains to that
individual it's in there.
What I want to end up with using Bygones is, as you stated elsewhere,
the same thing. The terminology I use may be incorrect but whatever
Bygones produces for that particular individual I want to place in that
1 file. I do not want to have to keep track of (or more accurately have
Bygones keep track of) more than 1 place to look. If I am need
something for Wayne Dreier, I want Bygones to tell me Wayne Dreier's
file is the place to look for it.
I do not want to keep a multi pocket physical file either as I read
about in the documentation. Just throw everything in together. After
researching for 40 + years on some persons I can still find things
quickly and easily that way; so I'm not thrilled about changing
anything that is working.
Having said that I can definitely see the advantage of having a printed
log of my research to place at the very beginning of each physical file
to act as a Table of Contents. That is one thing that I see as a very
helpful thing that Bygones can do.
So even if it was a rhetorical question I guess my answer is that I'm
using case 1 scenario.
Do I got it right?
Wayne
