Thanks for all this information, Riobard. I'm so surprised and interested
to see that there has been a Dr. Lyne living in roughly the same place for
over 100 years! That's pretty impressive. People think I'm odd because
I've lived in the same apartment for nearly 24 years!
New Year's greetings to all on the list and to all my relatives, friends and
acquaintances in Beara.

> Just got myself a few more hours to spare, so I will continue with the
list of those who contributed towards the purchase of a new bell for the
Catholic Church in Castletownbere in 1882. Most of those people would have
been householders in the various outlying townlands of the Parish. To go
into more details of the people who had families in these townlands, as well
as in the town of Castletownbere, see my Book "Who were my Ancestors ?
Castletownbere Parish".

> The other townlands in the Castletownbere Parish are not given, so it
looks as if those donating were only those who attended the Castletownbere
Church. The people from the eastern end of the Parish obviously were
attending the other Church in the Castletownbere Parish: Rossmacowen Church.
