Henry,
You should know that the Bere Island Projects Group
initiated a search for old photos of the island, carried out
about two years ago, under an EU programme.
They may well have some shots of interest of the old days.
I will pass your request to one of the people involved in
that search.

John is still there and lives quite near the Community Centre
where the Projects Group exist.

If all else fails I will take a few shots on my next visit, within
the next month or so.
