Hi, ya'll,
The folks I am searching for are listed below. Near the end of the Civil
War, Wilson's Raiders rode through N.W. Alabama and burned the courthouse at
Fayette. The war also caused the complete destruction of the University of
Alabama Library at Tuscaloosa. Many documents, of course, were gone for good
causing future genealogist to snatch out large hunks/hanks of hair.
Here is my list:
W.C. BEAVERS b. about 1823 d. 16 June 1899 Served with the 41st Alabama CSA.
Married several times...we aren't sure how many. (More info avail.) Last
lived in N. Tuscaloosa, Co., Alabama near Fayette. Had many children, one of
whom was:
WILLIAM PENN BEAVERS b. about 1857 d. ?? Wm Penn was married to ELIZABETH
GUIN on 21 Sept 1882 in Tuscaloosa Co., AL. They are both buried at Sterling
Cemetery with no markers. (More info avail.) They had at least two children,
a daughter named Hester and a son named:
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BEAVERS b. about 1887 d. about 1931 in Tuscaloosa Co., AL.
Buried at Sterling Cemetery with no marker. Married RUTH LOUHANEY HALL, the
middle name is spelled phonetically. Frank and Ruth had 15 children. More
info available upon request.
Thanks a bunch for any help.
Judy
