yeah-we used to put a chicken's head under our arm and it wouldn't move,

Grandma gave us "chicken moments." Anyone who knows chickens is
aware of how
easily they can be distracted, redirected and confused, so whenever someone
would throw a totally unrelated comment into a conversation, jump to a
completely different conversation in midstream, etc., she'd say they were

having a chicken moment.
