Subject: [BlaenauGwent] New Lister: WILLIAMS, EVANS, BENNETT, NICHOLLS, MASON

Dear Listers,
I recently unsubscribed from the Powys List which I found to be both useful
and entertaining! I'm looking forward to this one.

The families I am researching, all 1800s, are the WILLIAMS/EVANS [Rhymny,
Tredegar - originally Merthyr Tydfil]; BENNETT/NICHOLS [Sirhowy - originally
Builth
Wells and the Launt, Radnor] Also the MASONS who were in Tredegar /Bedwelty
in the 1820s-30s. We do not know where they were from before that. Joseph
MASON married Susannah EVANS in Bedwelty, 1822. As needed I will give more
information on the others [if I have any :-)] See below for my first
venture:

My interest in this mailing is the grave of my g. grandfather, Thomas
BENNETT. His daughter's family Bible says: Carmel Cemetery, ?Sewrfa,
Sirhowy, Tredegar, Wales.
1. What is the word I have ?ed?
2. Is there an index of burials at this cemetery?
3. Is it a church cemetery? [What is the parish name?]
4. If there is no index, is there someone in that area who might find that
grave for me and see if there might also be a John N. BENNETT there, a Beryl
BENNETT, a Richard BENNETT, other BENNETTs?

Thank you and regards,
Joanne Snyder, Tampa
