I have been tracing my Lil(l)wall family, who originate from Herefordshire, but during the 1840's onwards they started to drift into the Monmouthshire valleys, to begin with mainly in the Tredegar, Bedwelty and Ebbw vale areas. Later they went further south and into Glamorgan. I am mainly interested in any Lil(l)wall who may have married into anyone's family. The main Lilwall I am interested in is Harriet Lilwall who married Edward Henry Jones on 2 October 1871. Edward's job is recorded as an engineer, His father was William Jones a farmer of Ebbw Vale. They had 1 child Elizabeth Ann Jones born 24th March 1872, when she was born they were living at Victoria Road Ebbw Vale. I cannot find them on the 1881 census, Elizabeth Ann is living with her Grandparents in Titley Herefordshire, but no sign of Edward or Harriet. Where were they? I know this is quite a task having the name Jones, but I am hoping someone somewhere may just have a link that I need.
