Dear List,

I have come across a reference to a street called Britannia Row in some old family papers that I have recently acquired but despite asking the older members of my family who are Beaufort born-and-bred none of them can recall such a place. The people mentioned in connection with the street are not known to have ever lived outside Beaufort so the Britannia Row in question should be somewhere in that vicinity and probably no further than Brynmawr or Ebbw Vale - were there any pubs in the Beaufort area called "The Britannia Inn"?
