I am searching for any information on QUARTLEY particularly in the
Somerset/Devon area.

My 2xggrandfather was born James Quartley in 1828 at Cutcombe Somerset to
Thomas & Elizabeth Quartley. James had the following brothers & sisters:
Mary 1815, Elizabeth 1816, Anne 1819, Thomas 1821, Jane 1823, William 1826
and Robert 1836, there was also possibly Robert & Anna.

Any leads would be appreciated and any clues as to the origin of the name
QUARTLEY/QUARTLY
