John,
Williams is one of my lines, though now looking in Devon. Slight
possibility that your George may be son of Samuel and Elizabeth ? Williams.
Samuel in 1851 census, Shobrooke, Devon b. abt. 1803, Shobrooke,
blacksmith. We do not have all of their children but they seem to have
been born 1827-1841 period. The Eades, Edees, etc. and Williams' were very
close and married. Another similarity, Wm. Robt. Edees from Bradninch
Devon, married Sarah Filer, from Compton Martin, Somerset, 25 Dec 1851 in
Bristol. Some other Williams and Eades marriages took place in Bristol.
Too several Filers were married at the same Church you mention in your
email.
