I recently upgraded my RAM from 8M to 24M by adding 2 x 8M EDO chips.
I was amazed at the increase in speed. Instead of typically downloading
my lists in about
1 minute 37 seconds, I now download them at about 25-30 seconds.
The HTML downloads are similarly affected and this has to result in
lower telephone bills.
The cost was 26.01 (probably half that price in the USA and where, I
believe, they enjoy free local calls).
Check your documentation to ensure that you get the right chips or ask
your supplier.
I am passing this information on as I feel that List members will be
delighted at the
foot-tapping impatience of waiting for minutes will be reduced to
seconds.
Don't be afraid to upgrade - I was terrified!!. It really is easy, but
ENSURE THAT YOU ARE EARTHED and SWITCH OFF THE POWER first.
