Hi Warren, interesting that you brought up the triangle trade because
apparently this was "a fact" with no basis in fact. With the advent of
computers, shipping data was more carefully studied by historians and it was
decided that, while there was a lot of trade going on that moved slaves/
molassas/rum, it was not a triangular trade. Slavers went back and forth
without going on a 3rd leg, probably for the exact same reasons you brought
up. Contaminated sugar would have fetched a sorry price! Sandy
