Hello all,

Would anybody be willing to carry out two simple look-ups for me re
information obtainable from the St Catherine's House Index for the years
1986 and 1988.

I envisage that this could be carried during a normal visit to one's
research centre, and no special effort made on my behalf.

The first look-up would be to find the marriage between two parties. The
full name of the groom is known, but for the bride I have the surname only.
I have the identity and birth Registration date of their first child, and I
believe that the marriage probably took place in 1986.

The second look-up also concerns a marriage, but in this case I know the
full name of the groom, the bride's surname, and the year in which the event
took place - 1988.

The reason for this, perhaps rather odd, request, is that micro-fiche for
the years subsequent to 1983 are not obtainable anywhere in Lancashire; the
nearest site which I have found is Bristol Central Library, a journey of
200+ miles. I went there on Monday last, but unfortunately the fiche which
I needed to look at are missing!

If anybody feels that they could possibly help, please contact me personally
(rather than clutter up the List). Should I receive more than one
volunteer, I will select one at random, and notify the remainder personally
of the situation.

However, to repeat myself, the required Fiche are not available at Bristol
Central Library.
