Hello everyone,

I have recently joined this list and am interested in the names NORTHMORE
and WEDMORE. Imagine my surprise and pleasure when the first message I read
was about the Wedmore page of PR entries! I hadn't realized there was a
place called Wedmore.

I have a One-Name Study for the name NORTHMORE and it's variation NARRAMORE.
I have 6 family groups in Somerset which I would like to know more about if
possible. They are all called NORTHMORE.

Family 3. The Ancients.
I have a will of John Northmore of Taunton dated March 1415 (the year of
Agincourt). He was a wool merchant, Portreeve, and MP for Taunton. 2 sons
William and James, brothers John and William, sister Joan and possibly
another called Alice, and wife Joan.
At this time there was also a William Northmore who was a collector of
subsidies on wools, hides etc. at the port of Bristol. (13-1400s). This may
have been his son or a brother I suppose.

twins Sarah and Thomas b. 1880 at Wellington.

Family 6.

Beasing, Hants.

I have the 1881 census CDs, but I would appreciate it if SKS could do any
more look ups for me with ease and without too much trouble. I have the LDS
Vital Records CDs for GB and also the 1851 CD covering Devon, Warwickshire
and Norfolk and amilling to do look-ups for specific names with approx.
dates.

Best Regards.
