I am searching on my paternal side for William HANCOCK born about 1780
in Kilmersden, Somerset I do not know his spouse name but his children
names are:-
(1)George b. 1801 in Kilmersden who on 5 Feb 1827 married
Esther/Hester/Elizabeth MOORE in Kilmersden. Esther seemed to change her
name backwards and forwards with each child birth. They had Joanna 1827,
Sampson 1829, Solomon 1831, George 1833, John 1836, all born in
Kilmersden, William 1838 in Bedwellty Wales, Elizabeth 1843 in
Bedwellty, James 1846 in Bedwellty, And Sarah 1841 in Bedwellty.
John b. in 1836 when he was 18 yrs old, with 3 other young men left the
UK on board the "Lady Dove" to Australia, to Ballarat, as his family had
been miners in Somerset and Bedwellty we assume he came to the
goldfields. in 1866 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia John married Ann
KINSEY b. abt1848 in the ROMNEY IRON WORKS. They had Angelina 1867,
James 1869,John 1871, George 1873 all born in Kamps Gully, Ballarat.
Rachel 1879 in Minmi, New South Wales, Maurice 1881 in Minmi.
I am descended from John(1836) who came to Australia.
